I'm Addicted!
For the last 2 nights I have been glued to my television watching the Olympics. I am amazed how fast the swimmers are. I sit there and ponder over some of the events. Why do they have that and why are they wearing that, and are they really that old?
It amazes me at all of the new technology that has been put into swimming suits. Who knew that you needed a suit of latex just to shave off seconds on your time? They look like dolphins.
But hey whatever works for ya.
The men swimmers are wearing more clothes than the ladies volleyball team. Would a tank top get in the way of their performance? I was afraid they were going to have a wardrobe malfunction while playing. They must have some secret duck tape holding their uniform up.
Then as I am starting to sit down to watch the team female gymnastics I hear that they have to be turning 16 this year to compete. OK I know those Chinese girls have to be only 12-13. They say that their passports say that they are of age. But who issues the passports? The Chinese government. So you know those have to be fake. Like for real.
Last night I sit down and wanted to watch the ladies all around gymnastics and what do you think came on first? The mens indoor volleyball. I sat watching and started seeing that every time the USA team scored a point they would huddle, hug each other, then slap each other on their rumps. When I saw it for the first time I thought. Wow what a good team. Then they did it every single time. I about gagged. You think they would have to draw the line somewhere. But they didn't. Maybe it gave them good luck. They won their match. Hey whatever works for you. They all have lucky butts.
I had to wait unitl after 10 just to watch the events that I wanted to see. The competition was great. I was up till 2 just so I could watch the interviews with the 2 ladies. I feel so sleep deprived right now jsut from watching everything.
Are you watching? What are your thoughts on the whole thing?

Mandy, I too have been glued to the television every night. I am completely blown away by Michael Phelps. That man is AMAZING!! The gymnastics is also a favorite of mine to watch. I stayed up until 1:15 AM to watch the ladies all around. Tonight the individual events are on, so we'll see how late I am up tonight. Happy watching!
