Packing for Du Pont

Tomorrow morning we will be on our way to Du Pont in Delaware. We are taking Andrea to see the specialists there. It is about a 6 hour drive for us. Our car is not the best so Hollie offered to take us. She is a friend of mine that is a school teacher so she has the summer off. We are hoping to scope out some of the sites that are in that area. Kind of like a girlfriend's getaway with appointment in between. No husbands and only one child. We should have a good time.
We will be close to Philly. There are a lot of historical things to see not to mention shopping. Who loves a good bargain. Oh I do! I do!

So if you think about us tomorrow say a little prayer that we make it there safely and that the Dr.s will have the wisdom when they see Andrea. Pray that we might get some answers about her condition.

Wish us luck,

New Look

I pray that you like the new look. It took me many hours trying to figure out how to do it all. I still haven't figured out how to keep the blog list when you are adding a new layout. I think that is what takes me the longest. Adding all of the blogs I like reading. There are so many I am not sure that I remembered them all. If I forgot you I am sorry. Just post me a comment and let me know and I will gladly add you to the list.

Looking for a new look

I have been searching for a new background for my blog.I am getting bored with looking at these bugs. The problem is I really haven't found anything I like.
So I am asking you all for a favor. Could you look for me? The website that I usually use is PYZAM.COM
Because it is a free site.
The only criteria that I have is that the writing background isn't to dark. Something a little easy on the eyes to read. That and it has to have a code that I can copy and paste. That is all that I know how to do. lol

I would greatly appreciate all of your efforts in helping me find something pretty for my blog.

I'm Addicted!

Beijing 2008

For the last 2 nights I have been glued to my television watching the Olympics. I am amazed how fast the swimmers are. I sit there and ponder over some of the events. Why do they have that and why are they wearing that, and are they really that old?
It amazes me at all of the new technology that has been put into swimming suits. Who knew that you needed a suit of latex just to shave off seconds on your time? They look like dolphins.
But hey whatever works for ya.

The men swimmers are wearing more clothes than the ladies volleyball team. Would a tank top get in the way of their performance? I was afraid they were going to have a wardrobe malfunction while playing. They must have some secret duck tape holding their uniform up.

Then as I am starting to sit down to watch the team female gymnastics I hear that they have to be turning 16 this year to compete. OK I know those Chinese girls have to be only 12-13. They say that their passports say that they are of age. But who issues the passports? The Chinese government. So you know those have to be fake. Like for real.

Last night I sit down and wanted to watch the ladies all around gymnastics and what do you think came on first? The mens indoor volleyball. I sat watching and started seeing that every time the USA team scored a point they would huddle, hug each other, then slap each other on their rumps. When I saw it for the first time I thought. Wow what a good team. Then they did it every single time. I about gagged. You think they would have to draw the line somewhere. But they didn't. Maybe it gave them good luck. They won their match. Hey whatever works for you. They all have lucky butts.

I had to wait unitl after 10 just to watch the events that I wanted to see. The competition was great. I was up till 2 just so I could watch the interviews with the 2 ladies. I feel so sleep deprived right now jsut from watching everything.

Are you watching? What are your thoughts on the whole thing?

Our Cub Scout Camping trip

Well everything is all cleaned and put away from the camping trip. It is so nice to be back in a warm home and nice comfy sheets. Like I promised here are a few pictures of our trip.

Here is my step-son Austin. Right when we got to the site.

On the left is my step- daughter Heaven and on the right is my friend's daughter Natalie. Reading while the moms are putting everything away.

CANNON BALL!

Bff's jump on three 1, 2, 3 !

Andrea after getting the hang of her swimmies. I can do it mom!

Mike getting his awards. the Cub Scout master said something special about each boy.

It was so rainy that on the last night we made smores in the camper over the stove.

Even though it rained on and off all weekend I would do it again in a heartbeat. We made so many great memories with the kids this weekend.

Home from Camping

We are home from our Cub Scout camping trip. We were suppose to stay behind and stay another night but it rained and everything got soaked. It pretty much rained off and on all weekend. But everything in our tent stayed dry. Except for tonight when it poured. The kids stuck their blankets up against the sides of the tent.Letting all of the water into it.
Our friends Hollie and her husband Nate have a camper so they stayed nice and dry. I made Hollie bring me and the kids home tonight.
Bill had to work. He had to work all weekend. Thus leaving me with 4 kids and helping with the hole pack all by myself.
Let's just say momma is wet and and feeling a little tired. It is time to go soak in some bubbles and crawl into a warm comfy bed.
I will try and post pictures tomorrow. I don't know when cause we have to run out to the campsite and tear everything down.

Ta-ta for now,

Kind of Slow right now

Nothing new is really happening right at this moment. Me and another mom are planning a Cub Scout camp out for my son's pack and their families. So that has taken a lot of my time. Organizing, packing, and shopping on a budget to feed 25 people for the weekend.
Which I have to say I am becoming a pro at the whole shopping thing.
I hope that everyone is taking advantage of all of the cool savings and free samples that I have been posting.
Not only and I planning the camp out but I am trying to get Andrea's medical records sent to Alfred I.Dupont in Delaware. Then making reservations for lodging. We are taking Andrea there at the end of the month to see Dr. Bober and Dr. Mackenzie for the first time. We have 2 days of appointments. We are hoping that we get a diagnosis at this time.
If not then it would not be a shock to me. As no one else has been able to do it this far.It will just be great to see someone that specializes in bone dysplsias. They actually know what they are looking for.
Before anyone asks. We have done all of the standard things that someone would do to find out what type of dwarfism they have. We have had genetic marker testing,we have had skeletal surveys sent to Ceders in LA, we have had all sorts of tests done and every thing comes back as abnormal but with no definite diagnosis
. Dr.s say at the age of 4 is the perfect time to redo all of the scans to see if there has been any change. Then to see what type of dwarfism she fits into. You never know she could be one of the many that have no category. We will see.
In the mean time nothing is going to change. We will still live our lives and treat all of children the same. All though I have to say that they are both spoiled. Hehehe.

I was in desperate need of a swim suit. We are going on a camping trip with my sons Cub Scout pack. The only suit I had was thread bare in the bum. I mean it was at the point were you could see through it. Yeah that would of pretty with a bunch of boys running around.
I first tried to look at Wal- Mart but nothing seemed to fit right.
So yesterday we made a trip to Erie and I found this suit at the Avenue 70% off
